MEET THE TEAM

MICHAEL O’SULLIVAN

General Manager

People refer to me nearly all the time as SULLY. I’m from a Village just outside Ennis co Clare, called Clooney. I’m 30 years old and have a beautiful wife and daughter. I’ve been working in the bar industry for over 15 years now.

I started working part time in Reardens as a glass collector in September 1999, when I came to Cork to study Auctioneering, and have worked part time and full time in Various positions since.

In December 2010, I returned to the Company on a full time basis, given the roll and job description of general manager of Reardens bar and Havana Browns night club. My overall responsibility is to over see the successful running of all aspects of our late night business, and insure all employees including myself are representing the owners of this successful business in the best way possible and in a very professional manner. I’m an avid GAA fan, and could think of nothing better to do than go to Pairc Ui Caoimh to see a match or sit on the couch and watch the Sunday game.

My two other sporting passions are following Munster rugby, home and away, and enjoying some equestrian activity during the week, anything from a weekend hunt, to show jumping, you can’t beat it. I’m no different to anyone else who works in this industry. I love the buzz of a busy bar, serving a good pint, creating a good atmosphere, giving people a good nights entertainment and having the craic.

CIARAN HEALY

Marketing Dept, Graphic Designer

I have been with the company for just short of three and a half years. I started working behind the bar in our nightclub Havana Browns and then became a Supervisor in Reardens Bar. I’m now lucky enough to work in the Marketing Dept combining my love for the bar trade with my degree and passion in Graphic Design.

I’m 24 and grew up in Zimbabwe, I also prefer to work with no shoes on….so you will often hear someone say ‘Send it up to the creative juices department and tell Ciaran to take his shoes off!’ when we have a new project coming up. Don’t worry because I always have clean socks on.

JAMES DULLEA

Bar/Band Manager

I’ve been working in Reardens Bar/Havana Browns since Sept 2005. In Reardens Bar I look after the Live Entertainment in the venue, along with the day to day running of a Bar. I have a keen interest in social media and cooking. I’m 26 years old and from Clonakilty, bit of a home bird.

My friends always say “You can take the boy outta the country but you can’t take the country outta the boy” I love meeting people on a nightly basis, having the craic and enjoying their company!

SINEAD O’MAHONY

PR & Marketing Manager

I’ve been working in Reardens since June 2002, I started off as a marketing assistant and after a couple of years assumed the role of the PR & Marketing Manager. I am responsible for all the internal and external marketing.

I look after the print and design of posters/flyers, radio campaigns, all forms of advertising print or online, websites, anything that is to do with promoting our businesses. I also look after the general enquiries and bookings that come into the bar and liase with the night managers to ensure that all groups are looked after on the night.

I’m 33 from Cork and have a 3 ½ year old son who is the love of my life. Outside of work I teach Tai Chi and meditation.

I am a regular gym bunny and try to have a positive outlook on life. I have recently started Thai Boxing too! Watch out lads! I love live music and a good DJ session. Any queries in relation to Reardens, just give me a shout.

FERGUS BYRNE

Store Manager

I am with the company for over 20 years and my role is Group Purchasing, logistics and maintenance manager. My duties include all beverage purchasing, inventory, building and project management.

People often refer to me as Bob the Builder or Fergus will fix it. I love live music and a few pints in the bar.

DERMOT HICKEY

HR Manager

I’m Dermot Hickey, Hr Manager with Reardens over 13 years now. I Look after all Staff Hr Issues and Teach Manual Handling.

In my spare time I like to keep fit and Healthy and go to gym at least 4 times per week. It’s Handy having The Locker-room gym as part of our company.
